"It was a dead boy" [Cineforum-Outside Screens]

Federico Aldrovandi has just turned eighteen years old when, at dawn on September 25, 2005, he met a police patrol near the racecourse, in Ferrara. A few hours later the family learned of his death. Between these two moments of silence and many many questions. The book covers the legal and human affairs related to the death of Frederick, the reconstructions of the police who speak of death by overdose, ... the wonder and pain of relatives and friends and a judicial inquiry initially used to store ... then the first suspect, the disfigured body of the boy, the official versions that are contradicted by the analysis, the involvement delle forze dell’ordine e i depistaggi. The narrative is enriched by Vendemmiati video files recorded by the protagonists themselves, Rai newspaper archive available.

"It was a dead guy" is also a story about freedom of the press Philip Vendemmiati

I began to deal in the history of Federico Aldrovandi not very beginning, and even this laziness and professional skepticism, the film tells. Rai as a reporter I had already followed the disaster investigations as military aircraft crashed on Dec. 6 of 90 on a school Casalecchio, and claimed the lives of twelve boys, ol'assassinio of Prof. Marco Biagi, by a command of the New BR, 19 March 2002.
s death could be done as others, but unlike others on this I decided to stop and consider, for once, it was worth telling the story and not the news. I kept the video cassette original notebooks with notes, all those disposable instruments that are now a journalist of the man who has always in a hurry, prey to a false (and hysterical) movement. I wanted to write a book of record, then the archive with hundreds of images has convinced me that they were the ones having to be told, so I decided to put myself at their service. It 's a story that has to do with the system information and justice, with the violence of institutions and the citizens' right to justice. Frederick's parents and their lawyers have gone on not being satisfied of official releases, collecting scraps of truth despite the many attempts to cover-up and deception that accompanied il caso fin dai primissimi istanti.
“È was a dead guy "is also a story about freedom of the press which focuses on the present and near future of information in Italy. If the gag law had been in force five years ago, without being able to publish the documents, pictures, transcripts of phone calls, you would never discover the truth about the death of Frederick and that of other similar cases that occurred before and after?
I've been called a young author. I am particularly grateful for the young, after all that counts is the perceived age. As for "author", the film will be the trial to determine the extent to which I have been able to be.
